Federal Work-Study Research Lab Assistant
The Department of Biology in the Eberly College of Science has part‑time openings for a Federal Work‑Study Research Lab Assistant to work in the Vazquez research lab this academic year.
Responsibilities- Design and conduct research projects/experiments under the guidance of senior research personnel.
- Collect, analyze, summarize, and report data in accordance with established protocols.
- Inform the Principal Investigator (PI) of research findings and progress.
- Assist in the development, design, and execution of research projects following standard protocols or research plans.
- Contribute to experiments/tests in the laboratory or field to test, prove, or modify theoretical propositions.
- Gather, summarize, and interpret information on laws, policies, industry standards, and emerging trends relevant to the field of study.
- Must have received a Federal Work‑Study award (verify via Financial Aid Award Summary in LionPATH).
- Eligibility for on‑campus or remote work arrangements (subject to employer discretion).
Starting hourly rate: $18.00.
Performance EvaluationJob performance is evaluated annually or through ongoing mentorship.
