** POSITION SPECIFICS
** We are seeking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Bioinformatician to join our team. The successful candidate will support the analysis and interpretation of biological data, with a focus on genomics, transcriptomics, or related fields.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Perform analysis of high-throughput biological data including transcriptome, epigenome, spatial omics data, proteome.
* Develop, maintain, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and workflows.
* Interpret and visualize complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
* Collaborate with biologists, clinicians, and data scientists to support research projects.
* Document methods, analyses, and results clearly and reproducibly.
* Assist in maintaining databases and data management systems.
* Stay up to date with emerging bioinformatics tools and methodologies.
** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of molecular biology and genomics.
* Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
* Familiarity with command-line environments (Linux/Unix).
* Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, FASTA/Q processing tools).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
** Preferred and additional Qualifications
*** Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
* Familiarity with workflow management systems (e.g., Snakemake, Nextflow).
* Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
* Experience working with cloud computing platforms or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
* Analysis of microbiome is desirable.
* Some wet lab experience while not required is desirable.
* Prior internship, research project, or industry experience in bioinformatics.
** MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
** Bachelor's Degree3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

** The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 - $61,000.00.
