Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

We're looking for chemistry experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on advanced scientific content. Your deep domain knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex chemistry problems - making a real impact on the frontier of AI research.

What You'll Do
  • Design challenging, advanced chemistry problems to test and benchmark AI performance across areas like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and organic chemistry
  • Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical soundness, and quality of reasoning
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine and improve benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics
  • Provide structured, constructive feedback that helps AI models improve over time
Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
  • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
  • Familiarity with how large language models (LLMs) work
  • Background spanning multiple chemistry sub-disciplines
