- ** POSITION DESCRIPTION
** The Huck Institutes of The Life Sciences (The Huck) and the U.S. National Science Foundation National Synthesis Center for Emergence in the Molecular and Cellular Sciences (NCEMS) seek to hire a
** Researcher
* * to support and advance NCEMS’s mission of catalyzing and conducting community-scale synthesis in the molecular and cellular sciences through research and externally facing activities.
This is a non-tenure-line, term appointment funded by NCEMS, with an initial appointment of 1 year, renewable contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.
The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative research environment and will work closely with both internal and external faculty, students, and partners.

- ** RESPONSIBILITIES*
* ● Advance the NCEMS mission through support of community-scale synthesis research and training of the next generation of data-savvy scientists
● Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables
● Analyze data and prepare technical reports, manuscripts, and presentations/workshops
● Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across NCEMS
● Assist with mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, as appropriate--
- ** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*
* ● Master’s degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biosciences, Plant Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
● Demonstrated experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, AI-driven biological data analysis, and scalable open-science research infrastructure and training
● Strong written and verbal communication skills--
- ** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
* ● Experience with externally funded projects
● Track record of publications and/or technical reports
● Experience with proposal development
● Ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaborative environments
● Experience developing and delivering trainings and workshops tailored to specific scientific communities--
