Position Requirements

The College of Agricultural Sciences, Penn State Extension is seeking a part‑time Field and Forage Crops Intern. The position is based in Wayne County with travel to Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.

Responsibilities
  • Crop scouting
  • Field data collection
  • Research trial support
  • Farm visits and client support
Requirements, Qualifications, and Competencies
  • Agricultural science background
  • Access to a motor vehicle
  • Standard background check
  • Motor vehicle screening
Schedule
  • Part‑time, 30 hours per week for a short‑term period
  • Hours flexible to applicant's needs
Compensation

The starting rate is $17.75 per hour, plus travel.

Background Checks and Clearances

Employment requires successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. A valid driver's license and motor vehicle records check are also required.
