Job SummaryThe Birdsong Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Edward
F. Domino Research Center at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is seeking a full-time Research Laboratory Technician Associate. Duties will include ordering lab supplies, animal handling/husbandry, carrying out experiments to investigate the molecules and circuits involved in mediating pain perception and addiction, and organizing and analyzing data.
High school diploma or Associate's degree and a minimum of 1 year of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or similar field and 3 months of hands‑on wet lab experience is desired. Willingness to work with laboratory mice and fluency in data analysis using R and Python are also required.
In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.
