Clinical Research, Research Assistant/Associate, Research Scientist
Position Summary
As a Research Assistant with the Light Institute for Global Health and Transformation, you will gain hands‑on experience across implementation science research, public health clinical trials, and the day‑to‑day operations that keep high‑impact projects moving. This role offers a unique mix of research, field, and administrative exposure—from contributing to multiyear studies on uptake, scale‑up, adaptation, and sustainment of evidence‑based interventions to supporting grant management, logistics, and project coordination.

Assists with research study, experiments, preparation of material, and documentation.
- Conduct research experiments and assays.
- Evaluate research results, report findings and discuss project outcomes with staff involved.
- Perform data entry and maintain data files on research.
- Coordinate tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc.
- Comply with established safety procedures and maintain required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
- Coordinate research project with other institutions and investigators.
- Participate in developing hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing them.
- Assist with general supply/equipment orders, lab maintenance and cleaning.
- Perform literature research on specified topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
- Laboratory Operations (2 years).
- No specific certification or professional license required.
- Driver’s license not required.

$17.10 – $29.09 / Hourly
