The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly‑talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA‑affiliated research institute. These one‑to‑three‑year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
PositionThe Hydrological Sciences Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking a post‑doctoral candidate in the area of surface water hydrology. The new candidate will work with other members of the Lab toward developing a comprehensive understanding and modeling capability of surface water storage (liquid and frozen) and stream discharge over a wide range of scales, using remote sensing. This may also include experience or interests in modeling estuaries, as well as heat, mass, and chemical transport modeling for inland and coastal water applications.
Familiarity with data assimilation techniques is also desired.
All applications must be submitted in Zintellect. Please visit the NASA Postdoctoral Program website for application instructions and requirements.
A complete application to the NASA Postdoctoral Program includes:
