Job Description andPosition Requirements
The Survey Research Center at Pennsylvania State University is seeking self‑motivated, reliable part‑time Field Interviewers to collect bio‑samples and administer surveys to parents and children in their homes. Primary locations include Harrisburg, Hershey, and surrounding areas; home visits will also occur in Delaware, Maryland, Texas, Florida, and other states as needed. Applicants must be phlebotomists, available to work 5–35 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
Successful candidates will gain valuable experience in social science data collection and survey administration. Excellent people skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and reliable transportation are required.
- Follow a specific protocol for sample collection and survey administration.
- Attend mandatory training sessions.
- Use basic computer and internet technology for data entry and reporting.
- Establish and maintain a good rapport with study respondents.
- Remain organized and detail‑oriented.
- Keep detailed records of all work activities.
Must have Phlebotomist Certification.
