Research Assistant/Associate
The Department of Political Science is seeking applicants for a part‑time position:
Loyle Sanchez Part‑Time Research Assistant.
- The research assistant will contact international and Colombian organizations active in the peace building aid networks collected in a previous data effort. The assistant will contact organizations located at the end of the reported chain of aid delivery to gather information on: a) the locations of the project implementation sites; b) any additional organizations in the chain of aid delivery (final recipients) not captured in the reported data;
and c) characteristics of the relationship between organizations (e.g., the degree of involvement of local partners). - The appointment is expected to start January 2026 and end by the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
An ideal candidate would have contextual knowledge of the aid system in Colombia and of research design principles. Employment with the University will require successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies.
CompensationThe starting rate for this job is $15.00 per hour, at 10 hours per week, for about 80 hours total.
