Job Description
The College of Medicine, Department of Molecular and Precision Medicine, is seeking a Research Technician for a 3‑month assignment, working 40 hours a week, to help test and validate a new device for rapid identification of a novel bacterial pathogen.
The position involves wet‑bench molecular microbiological techniques, particularly quantitative PCR, enzyme‑linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and other immunological assays, to determine the specificity and selectivity of a novel lateral flow device. This role is essential to the goals of a recently awarded NIH grant and to deploy the device in field settings.

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor of Science degree and at least two years of experience in wet‑bench molecular genetic techniques.
- Preference for experience with ELISA and other immunological techniques.
The starting rate for this job is $19.00 per hour.
