Reporting to the Technical Food & Nutrition Manager, the Application Technologist contributes actively to IMCD's ambition to become a leader in formulation solutions. Based at the La Plaine Saint-Denis Applications Laboratory, he/she leads technical projects, supports the growth strategy, and acts as a partner to clients, commercial teams, and suppliers.

- Conduct and perform laboratory formulation tests (ingredient functionality, flavoring, process optimization) and ensure the quality of technical recommendations.

- Organize and host client tasting events and professional trade shows.

- Manage the project pipeline under his/her responsibility and ensure continuous engagement until commercial realization.

- Provide high-value formulation expertise to commercial teams and clients.

- Develop and implement innovative concepts (bakery, savory products, dairy products, beverages, nutrition, confectionery) that enhance the IMCD ingredient portfolio and align with market trends. Acts as a key collaborator between technical, commercial, and marketing teams.

- Transfer knowledge to commercial teams and structure technical data via R&D tools and digital platforms.

- Ensure proper use of the laboratory and manage the stock of R&D ingredient samples.

- Monitor and write test reports on IMCD R&D software.

IMCD is looking for a formulation expert capable of driving technical performance to support the growth of the Business Unit:

- Curious and creative, comfortable in the kitchen and with laboratory manipulations.

- Meticulous, autonomous, capable of prioritizing to manage multiple projects within deadlines.

- Strong teamwork and project management skills.

- Results-oriented, able to manage a project pipeline, track key performance indicators, and prioritize actions to maximize laboratory results.

- Professional experience: first experience in an R&D food environment.

- Higher education in food science (Master's or equivalent at BAC+5 level).

- Good knowledge of functional ingredients (hydrocolloids, starches, fibers, proteins, flavors, colors) and industrial processes.

- Experience in managing multi-client technical projects.

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to operate in an international environment.
