Biology Subject Matter Expert; AI Training & Scientific Content

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Biology Subject Matter Expert (AI Training & Scientific Content) based in United States.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced biology professionals to directly contribute to the development of next-generation AI systems by applying their scientific expertise. In this role, you will help improve how AI understands, interprets, and generates biological knowledge by reviewing and refining scientific datasets and content. You will work on tasks that combine scientific accuracy with clear communication, including evaluating research material, laboratory documentation, and educational resources.

The work has a direct impact on the quality of AI reasoning in life sciences domains. You will also contribute to building structured scientific inputs that enhance model training and validation. This is a fully remote, flexible contractor role suited to experts who want to apply their academic or research background in an emerging AI-driven environment.

• Review, annotate, and provide expert feedback on biological datasets, scientific materials, and educational content
• Author, edit, and evaluate laboratory reports, research papers, and technical documentation for accuracy and clarity
• Develop and refine prompts, structured inputs, and queries to improve AI understanding of biological concepts
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in AI-generated biological content and provide precise corrections
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align outputs with project and research objectives
• Create and validate educational and reference materials used for AI model training and benchmarking
• Stay updated on advancements in biology, life sciences, and relevant scientific research

The ideal candidate has a strong academic and/or research foundation in biology or life sciences, combined with excellent scientific communication skills.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field
• Experience writing laboratory reports, scientific papers, research publications, or field studies
• Strong understanding of biological concepts, experimental design, and research methodologies
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret biological data from experimental or literature sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong scientific writing ability
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to scientific accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative contractor environment
• Experience in research, academia, biotechnology, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is a plus
• Familiarity with reviewing scientific or educational content is advantageous
