Mercor is seeking an LLM Research Scientist (Pre-training & Post-Training) for remote, contract work. You will train transformer models from scratch, optimize in constrained environments, and build post-training pipelines.
Requires 3+ years ML research, strong experience with PyTorch, JAX, or Tensor Flow, and a track record from top universities or FAANG-like companies. Preferred: scaling laws, RL for language models, and AI safety expertise.
