Responsibilities
+ Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with established standards, specifications, and regulatory expectations.
+ Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation methods, and microscopy.
+ Perform chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials.
+ Compile, analyze, and interpret test data, ensuring results are accurate, reliable, and clearly documented.
+ Provide technical support and assistance to chemists, engineers, and other technical staff in both research and process control environments.
+ Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes using standardized formulas, and develop experimental formulations as needed for research and development projects.
+ Maintain, clean, and sterilize laboratory instruments, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
+ Write technical reports and prepare graphs, charts, and other visual documentation to communicate experimental methods, results, and conclusions.
+ Order, track, and inventory laboratory materials, chemicals, and supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels and support continuous laboratory operations.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality assurance, analytical chemistry, and wet chemistry testing related to product development and quality control.
+ Perform accurate data entry and documentation in laboratory information systems and spreadsheets to support traceability and compliance requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Associate's degree in applied science or a related field required.
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred, with strong consideration for similar academic backgrounds such as Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering.
+ 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory, analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, quality assurance, or quality control environment.
+ Basic knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances, and the chemical processes and transformations they undergo.
+ Basic understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and how they affect the environment, as well as worker and consumer safety.
+ Demonstrated creativity in approaching laboratory tasks and problem solving.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills to document and present experimental work clearly.
+ Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and troubleshoot issues in experiments or processes.
+ Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects or experiments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
+ High attention to detail, with a track record of accurate work and thorough documentation.
+ Familiarity with MS Office applications for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
+ Comfort working with laboratory equipment and techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, separation techniques, microscopy, and standard analytical chemistry methods.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline is preferred.
+ Experience in analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, and laboratory-based quality assurance or quality control is beneficial.
+ Familiarity with statistical software and tools for data analysis is preferred.
+
Experience with data entry and documentation in laboratory or quality systems is an advantage.
+ Ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative laboratory environment.
