Position: RESEARCH FELLOW

Postdoctoral Position Available

A wet-lab postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Zhang Lab at the University of Michigan Medical School (Department of Radiation Oncology) to join a highly collaborative team studying how brain tumor cells and their surrounding environment respond to treatment, with the goal of identifying new therapeutic strategies. The successful candidate will lead and support innovative projects with strong emphasis on mechanistic and translational research.

The laboratory has established a track record of impactful publications in leading journals, including Neuro-Oncology, Cancer Cell, Cancer Research, Molecular Cell, and Nucleic Acids Research. Leveraging unparalleled access to the resources and expertise of both the Department of Radiation Oncology and the University of Michigan Pediatric Brain Tumor Center, we employ innovative, multidisciplinary, and multi-omic approaches to elucidate the molecular mechanisms driving pediatric brain tumor therapeutic resistance and tumor-immune interactions.

We aim to translate these discoveries into more effective and less toxic therapies for children with brain tumors.

Desired Qualifications*
