What You’ll Do

The confidential client is seeking a full-time Data Analyst to support large-scale clinical and translational neuroscience research projects. You will work closely with clinicians, researchers, and technical staff to develop and run analysis pipelines, maintain research databases, and support data collection and quality control for multimodal datasets (behavioral, EEG, fMRI, DTI, volumetrics).

  • Implement and support statistical analyses, machine learning models, and processing pipelines/scripts for behavioral, EEG, and multimodal neuroimaging data (resting-state and task-based fMRI, DTI, volumetric).
  • Build and maintain neuroimaging and behavioral data pipelines (BIDS, XNAT) and ensure reproducible workflows.
  • Develop query tools and databases for data mining and assist with documentation and user guides.
  • Create and maintain QC protocols to protect data integrity during acquisition, preprocessing, and analysis.
  • Implement web-based behavioral questionnaires (e.g., REDCap) and program behavioral tasks (e.g., Psycho Py, Psychophysics Toolbox).
  • Provide programming, analysis, and technical support to lab members and study coordinators.
  • Assist with computer/network administration related to research data (storage, archiving, permissions).
  • Contribute to scientific reporting and manuscript preparation; support presentations and figures.
  • Provide logistical/technical support for in-person study visits and train backup staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • B.A./B.S. in neuroscience, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field required; M.S./Ph.D. preferred.
  • Minimum ~2 years relevant technical experience in neuroimaging or research data analysis.
  • Proficient with neuroimaging analysis platforms (examples: HCP pipelines, Free Surfer, SPM, FSL, AFNI).
  • Strong programming skills (Python required; R preferred) and experience working in Linux environments.
  • Solid background in statistics and statistical scripting for experimental and clinical data.
  • Experience working with BIDS/XNAT, REDCap, and data management best practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills; attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with graph analyses, machine learning, and modeling is a significant plus.
  • Graphic or web design skills considered a plus.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Prior experience supporting clinical or neuromodulation studies (TMS, tDCS, ECT, DBS).
  • Prior work producing publication-quality figures and methods documentation.
  • Familiarity with behavioral experiment software and data-collection workflows.
