The Bureau of Workforce Information and Technical Support (BWITS) in the Division of Employment & Training is currently recruiting to fill a Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI) Research Analyst Senior
project position.

Position SummaryIn support of DWD's Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI) Round 10 grant, this position will use advanced techniques to analyze data from training and workforce programs to better understand the impact of different career, training, and support services on employment outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Retrieving data from large data sets
Applying analytical tools and techniques to large data sets
Establishing a data analytic model to evaluate training programs
Performing data validation and verification to ensure integrity of analysis
Producing visual representations of results of data analysis
Presenting work product results to stakeholders

The classification title for this position is Research Analyst-Senior (schedule 08, range 03). This position is not represented in a collective bargaining unit and is considered exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.
Travel:Travel to in-state or national meetings or conferences may be required.
Project Position
:
Project positions are eligible for benefits, including paid holidays and accrual of paid leave time, but the incumbent does not attain permanent civil service status. The funding for this position is scheduled to end on June 30, 2028. The incumbent must be a Wisconsin resident.
Remote work: Employees with approved remote and hybrid-remote work arrangements are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin
.High-speed internet access is required to meet the needs of remote work. Remote work options are subject to change.

Eligibility to work in United States

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e. a US citizen or national or a lawful permanent resident) at the time of appointment. DWD does not sponsor visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. This is not a contract position. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant completing the I-9 upon hire.

Accessing, extracting and analyzing data from databases.
Using data analytic tools (e.g., those available in Excel, R, SPSS, SAS, or similar software) to compile and organize data, identify trends and summarize findings.
Producing visual displays (e.g., tables, charts, graphs or similar) that convey analysis results.
