Research Assistant/Associate

The teaching assistants for the Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy Lab will lead their assigned laboratory section and coordinate specific lab activities including:
1) assisting with an orientation at the beginning of the semester to students in the assigned section describing laboratory policies, safety considerations and expectations;
2) prepare the lab prior to the session and ensure that the lab is cleaned at the end of the session;
3) prepare demonstration specimens;
4) in conjunction with the laboratory coordinator, provide instruction to the lab session as a whole or small groups and individuals as needed;
5) help prepare, administer, and clean up lab exams;
6) grade lab assignments and exams;
7) participate in pre-lab meetings each week with other TAs and lab coordinator to review upcoming lab material;
8) perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory coordinator.
Requirements:
Applicants must have recently completed VBSC/BIOL 421 Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy Lab (or an equivalent course) with a satisfactory grade, and must be available during the scheduled laboratory sessions.
