About the Role
AI is rapidly being applied to some of the most complex challenges in public policy and economics — and it needs expert guidance to get things right. We're looking for experienced public policy economists to help evaluate and improve how AI understands economic reasoning, policy analysis, and real-world tradeoffs.
Your expertise will directly shape how leading AI systems think about regulation, welfare programs, fiscal policy, and more. This is a flexible, fully remote contract role where your knowledge makes a measurable difference.

Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Review and evaluate AI-generated public policy analysis and applied economics content for accuracy and rigor
- Assess economic reasoning across topics such as regulation, public welfare, fiscal policy, and program design
- Provide clear, structured written feedback to improve clarity, depth, and real-world relevance
- Validate economic scenarios, assumptions, and conclusions using your professional judgment
- Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule, at your own pace
- 3+ years of experience in public policy, applied economics, or a closely related field
- Strong command of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoff reasoning
- Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and provide actionable feedback
- Clear, confident written communicator
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline
- Background in government, think tanks, academic research, or policy consulting
- Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs
