Remote Quantitative Researcher: From Idea to Production

I'm partnering with a highly successful proprietary trading firm that is looking to hire a Quantitative Researcher to develop and improve systematic trading strategies across global markets.

You'll research new sources of alpha, develop predictive models and trading signals, evaluate their performance and work closely with traders and engineers to bring successful ideas into production.

This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical team where research has a direct impact on live trading performance and successful ideas can move quickly from concept to deployment.

What you'll do

• Research and develop predictive models, trading signals and systematic strategies

• Identify and evaluate new sources of alpha using large-scale datasets, statistical techniques and machine learning

• Design and run rigorous experiments to assess the viability of new ideas

• Analyse live and historical strategy performance to improve existing models

• Explore new datasets, features and modelling approaches

• Work closely with traders and engineers to deploy successful research into production

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm's research infrastructure and tooling

What we're looking for

• Outstanding academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or another highly quantitative discipline

• Strong foundation in probability, statistics and data analysis

• Excellent programming skills, ideally in Python

• Experience working with large datasets and developing quantitative models

• Strong problem-solving ability and a scientific approach to research

• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to tackle difficult, open-ended problems
