Job Description SummaryThe Cheng Lab at Miami University is seeking a synthetic organic postdoctoral researcher to join our organic electrosynthesis team. The successful candidate will contribute both intellectually and practically in the development of new electrosynthetic methods. Opportunities will also be available to gain experience in grantsmanship and mentoring junior scientists. The appointment will be full time for 12-months with the possibility of renewal given satisfactory progress and availability of funds.
Job Description Duties- Develop new electrosynthetic methods for organic synthesis.
- Actively contribute to leading day-to-day activities within an organic chemistry lab.
- Produce high-quality manuscripts and assist with grant writing.
- Mentor junior scientists.
- Required:
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related discipline at the time of appointment.
- Publications demonstrating experience with organic synthesis.
- Publications demonstrating experience in synthetic methodology research.
- Experience in synthetic chemistry under inert atmosphere.
- Experience in electrochemistry.
- Experience in high-throughput experimentation.
- Desire to mentor graduate students.
