Evaluation & Grants Manager

The Knowles Teacher Initiative is seeking an Evaluation and Grants Manager to join the Outreach and Dissemination Division and play a central role in helping Knowles generate, use, and share evidence that strengthens both our programs and the broader field of mathematics and science education. Working across the organization, this individual leads program evaluation efforts, supports research activities and ethical review processes, contributes to external grant development and management, and helps communicate organizational learning through publications, presentations, and partnerships to educators, partners, and funders.

We are currently seeking an Evaluation and Grants Manager who will work as the other member of the Outreach and Dissemination Division.

• Leads evaluation activities across Knowles programs, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization; translates findings into actionable insights that support program improvement and organizational decision making; ensures evaluation activities align with research ethics and participant protection requirements; and supports staff in the collection, interpretation, and use of data.
• Designs and administers surveys and other evaluation instruments using Qualtrics and related tools.
• Coordinates Knowles Research Ethics Committee (KREC) processes, including proposal review, policy maintenance, and staff guidance regarding research ethics and participant protections.
• Supports grant development and management by researching funding opportunities, assisting with proposal and report preparation, tracking grant requirements and deliverables, and collaborating with staff to gather information, data, and outcomes needed to secure and steward funding.
• Supports Knowles' efforts to disseminate organizational knowledge by providing data summaries and reports, literature reviews, evaluation findings, and analytical support for publications, presentations, external communications, and professional engagement.
• Writes independently and collaboratively
• Represents Knowles in interactions with funders, partners, consultants, and professional organizations as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned in support of organizational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in education, evaluation, social sciences, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field required; graduate degree preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in program evaluation, grant management, educational research, or a related field, preferably working in K-12 education, higher education, or professional development settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Qualtrics and familiarity with common workplace technologies, such as Google Workspace, Salesforce, Asana, AI-assisted productivity and analysis tools, and data visualization or network analysis software (e.g., Gephi)
• Strong writing skills and artifacts of reports, summaries, grant proposals, publications, and/or other professional documents.
• Knowledge of and experience with grant development, grant management, and funding landscapes
• Familiarity with research ethics and participant protections requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, attend to details, and advance strategic goals.
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, written, and oral communication skills, combined with a collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to problem solving and teamwork.
