Migration Policy Institute Associate Policy Analyst – Global Program

The Migration Policy Institute (MPI) is accepting applications for the Associate Policy Analyst - Global Program. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Eastern, Wednesday, September 30. This is a full-time role based in Washington, D.C., and worldwide remote work will be considered for the right candidate.

This opportunity is for an Associate Policy Analyst in MPI's Global Program. The selected candidate will help deliver in-depth policy analysis and support new research projects.

Moreover, the role includes drafting and editing background notes, analytical reports, policy briefs, and related research materials. The successful candidate may also contribute to and co-author MPI publications, with opportunities to lead or single-author shorter pieces.

The position also supports fundraising and grant management. In addition, the analyst will help organize high-level round tables and private meetings, including agenda development, concept notes, participant liaison, and speaker briefing.

• Master's degree with 3-5 years of direct experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of international migration trends; expertise in one or more countries outside the United States preferred, particularly Africa, Latin America, or Europe
• Remote work worldwide will be considered for the right candidate

What Fellows Receive: Starting pay range for U.S.

-based Associate Policy Analyst: $62,000-$67,000; generous benefits package for full-time U.S.

-based employees; remote appointment arrangements, benefits, and compensation will be reviewed and agreed based on candidate location, experience, and local employment regulations

Program Components

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver in-depth policy analysis and shape methodology for new research projects
• Draft and edit background notes, analytical reports, policy briefs, and other research materials
• Contribute to and co-author MPI publications and short-form work
• Assist senior staff in fundraising and grant management, including grant proposals and reports
• Support organizing high-level round tables and private meetings
• Engage with the news media in time and with support
