About the Role

Our client is looking for an exceptional Lead Research Scientist specializing in Genomics to spearhead critical research initiatives. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to groundbreaking scientific discoveries. You will lead a virtual team of researchers, drive project strategy, and translate complex genomic data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of advanced genomic research projects, including sequencing, genotyping, and bioinformatics analysis.
  • Develop and implement novel computational and statistical methods for analyzing large-scale genomic datasets.
  • Collaborate remotely with internal and external partners to integrate genomic findings into broader research programs.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for virtual research teams.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in genomics, bioinformatics, and related fields, and apply this knowledge to research strategy.
  • Prepare high-quality scientific reports, publications, and presentations for diverse audiences.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in genomic research and analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and data analysis pipelines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R) and statistical software.
  • Experience managing research projects and leading scientific teams, preferably in a remote setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective virtual teamwork.
