** POSITION SPECIFICS
** A postdoctoral scholar position is available immediately in a well funded established laboratory at Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Cancer Institute at Hershey, PA. The laboratory is located in the Penn State Cancer Institute, a state-of-the-art building providing all the necessary shared equipment and centralized research facilities. The lab focuses on delineating the epigenetic pathways that regulate hematopoiesis.  

Our current research focuses are:
1) Study of epigenetic modulation in hematopoietic stem cell differentiation using genome wide and single cell RNA seq analysis;
2) Investigate the role of key transcription factors in regulating hematopoiesis in conditional knockout and knockin mouse models.

Candidates should have obtained a PhD or an MD/PhD degree and research training in the fields of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Genetics.

The candidate should have evidence of prior productive scientific works in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Publication in the area of molecular biology, gene expression or hematopoiesis.

Basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, cell culture, RNA seq and ChIP seq analysis, transgenic mouse handling.

Prior experience in the study of gene regulation, hematopoiesis, bioinformatics analysis, and/or use of mouse models is preferred.
