Experienced Cook for Remote Camp

J.D. Irving Limited is looking for seasoned Cooks for its Boston Brook Camp in Northern New Brunswick. This full-time role focuses on preparing substantial meals in a remote kitchen setting.

As a vital member of our culinary team, you will assist the Head Cook in preparing daily meals and managing food inventory efficiently. Your knowledge of food safety will help maintain the highest standards in all kitchen operations, while your adaptability will shine in accommodating dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Head Cook in preparing large-scale daily meals

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and supper effectively

• Manage food inventory to minimize waste

• Uphold exceptional cleanliness and food safety

• Cater to different dietary restrictions as feasible

Requirements:

• 2-5 years’ culinary experience necessary

• Prior experience cooking for large groups in remote areas

• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices

• Capable of long shifts and changing conditions

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
