Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk role at Kroger (Smith’s Food and Drug). Select and gather products for customers’ on-line orders with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers’ cars when they arrive for pick up. Responsibilities- Essential Job Functions:
Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk works as In-Store Grocery Shopper to select and gather products for customers’ on-line orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality. - In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for on-line orders.
- Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles on-line orders, processes coupons and payment, and delivers and loads orders to cars at pick up.
- In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders on the go while following bagging standards.
- E-Commerce team including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector; store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Read and follow directions in the note section; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
- Communicate with customers via portable phone and respond professionally and timely.
- Retrieve each customer’s order from staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load order into customer’s car.
- Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to on-line shopping.
- Process orders through the POS system; follow policies to determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to store e-Commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures; assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet/exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to read shelf tags
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or cashier experience
