Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Kroger
. Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers' cars when they arrive for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to return to online shopping. - Essential Job Functions:
Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk works as In-Store Grocery Shopper, selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality. - In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for online orders.
- Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles online orders, processes coupons and payment, and delivers and loads orders to cars for pick up.
- In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders on the go while following bagging standards.
- E-Commerce team including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at time of pick-up.
- Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive customer orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Read and follow directions provided in the note section; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
- Communicate with customers via portable phone and respond professionally and timely.
- Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load orders into customers' cars.
- Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
- Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
- Follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions when an item is out of stock.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item-location discrepancies and incorrect temperatures to the e-Commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet/exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally and amicably.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as applicable.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Minimum Position Qualifications:
Ability to work without supervision. - Ability to read shelf tags.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment (stocking shelves) or as a cashier.
