In this dynamic role, you will support the management of our retail store and play a key part in driving our Mission, Vision, and Values. As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will be equipped to lead in the Store Manager's absence and engage with a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.

• Promote and embody the core values of Cavender's culture.
• Assist in daily store operations and supervise store associates to ensure smooth functioning.
• Act in the capacity of Store Manager during short-term absences.
• Help provide training and onboarding for new team members.
• Participate in preparing store reports and maintaining operational standards.
• Stay vigilant about safety and security matters; promptly report any incidents to the Store Manager.
• Implement and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at increasing sales while controlling costs.
• Perform open and closing store tasks as assigned.
• Conduct daily evaluations and oversee bank deposits.
• Maintain a welcoming store environment through regular upkeep of both interior and exterior images.
• Manage records and files efficiently.
• Review timecards and oversee payroll preparations.
• Participate in shrinkage control efforts and engage in lawful actions when necessary against theft.
• Assist in resolving customer and employee issues in a professional manner.
• Fulfill additional duties as required in the retail apparel/footwear sector.
• Understand and analyze reports generated by the home office to coach team members towards achieving business goals.

• Ability to comprehend and follow basic instructions.
• Skill in interpreting documents and applying principles across various tasks.
• Strong analytical abilities for writing reports and addressing complex information.
• Capability to respond effectively to inquiries and relay information in English.
