The position is responsible for the month‑end close process as it relates to the valuation of hospital patient accounts receivable for both the balance sheet and the income statement as well as having general reimbursement and accounting responsibilities. The role includes performing the daily tasks required to maintain the Crowe RCA application to ensure balance with Epic and People Soft; performing monthly valuation of patient accounts receivable;
managing patient accounts receivable using Crowe RCA tool; and performing ad‑hoc analysis of patient revenue and collectability. The position will be responsible for the day‑to‑day patient service revenue and accounts receivable reporting activities. The position will prepare various schedules, analyses, and reports for a variety of stakeholders in the organization such as Accounting, Reimbursement, Decision Support, and Revenue Cycle. The position will assist in working with the external auditors on the annual audit as it relates to patient service revenue and accounts receivable.
The position reports to the Director of Reimbursement.

Work Schedule:
Monday‑Friday. This position is mostly work from home (WFH) but candidate must reside in Texas.
- Education – Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience – 5 years of experience in and knowledge of the health care field working in hospitals. Advanced knowledge and use in Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Access.
- Education – Master's Degree MBA
Experience – 8 years of hospital experience
Kodiak RCA and/or Crowe software
EPIC experience
Proficiency in SQL
Job Duties- Responsible for the valuation of patient revenue receivables.
- Responsible for all day‑to‑day activities related to the Crowe RCA tool.
- Assist with review of patient revenue accounts with the Revenue Cycle team.
- Prepare various analysis reports related to patient revenue.
- Perform patient service revenue and accounts receivable reporting tasks during the last few days and first several days of the monthly close process including running reports, preparing analysis, and providing accounting with necessary information for journal entries for balance sheet and income statement.
- Perform monthly patient accounts receivable valuation model and analysis using the Crowe RCA tool.
- Prepare supporting work papers for patient service revenue and patient accounts receivable for the audited financial statements.
- Assist with completing internal and external information requests for patient service revenue.
- Assist in patient revenue projections, forecasts, budgets, and other special projects.
- Assist in preparation of financial reporting deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned.
