American Stone is hiring a full‑time Cashier to assist and check out showroom and stone‑yard customers. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer‑focused individual who enjoys working with people and handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Job DescriptionThis role supports daily showroom and sales operations and requires accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
YourJob Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet customers and process sales transactions accurately using our point‑of‑sale and Odoo systems
- Handle cash, credit card, and account transactions responsibly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout and showroom area
- Assist customers with basic product questions and direct them to sales or yard staff as needed
- Support sales efforts by assisting with customer follow‑ups and basic prospecting tasks
- Coordinate with staff to assist customers with order pickup and loading when appropriate
- Follow company policies related to customer service, cash handling, and workplace conduct
- Assist with general facility organization and other assigned tasks
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for extended periods and light lifting
- Experience with basic computer systems such as Excel, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or similar programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Prior experience in cash handling or customer service is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Spanish‑speaking ability is a plus
The schedule is negotiable but generally falls within standard business hours.
