Assistant Store Leader- Operations; Palm Gardens

Position Overview:

The Assistant Store Leader of Operations supports the Store Leader by directing activities required to achieve store goals, including best‑of‑class guest service, sales objectives, operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation, while driving associate and guest engagement.

• Foster a guest‑focused team environment and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Achieve excellent guest service by role‑modeling company service standards.
• Provide timely feedback to associates and recognize performance to drive retention.
• Hold self and associates accountable for financial results and performance standards.
• Manage conflict and coach associates using company processes, standards, and guidelines.
• Empower associates in decision‑making.
• Receive feedback and foster dialogue for solutions.
• Develop associates through an individualized approach, delegating, and challenging on results.
• Build team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognition.
• Lead through change and adversity.
• Recommend hiring, promotions, and terminations based on performance.
• Meet or exceed store and individual goals, contributing to overall store goals.
• Engage guests to create an exceptional shopping experience.
• Co‑lead floor sets and refresh management.
• Oversee scheduling and back‑of‑house organization.
• Manage shipment and product preparation (e.g., steaming, hanging).
• Plan and administer merchandise markdown processes.
• Manage supply orders, maintenance, and cleaning.
• Maintain inventory, damages, audits, banking, and loss‑prevention systems.
• Train new associates on operational processes.
• Co‑manage payroll and store financial performance.
• Make decisions regarding store operations and planning.
• Control workflow through planning and delegation.
• Execute task directives within designated time frames.
• Complete opening/closing procedures.
• Adhere to loss‑prevention practices and report potential incidents.
• Communicate effectively with the executive team.
• Utilize weekly reporting to track, analyze, and communicate business results; determine strategies to maximize sales.
• Interpret Home Office communication through partnership with Store Leader and District Leader.
• Partner with Visual District Leader and Visual Assistant Store Leader on floor‑sets, window sets, fixture placement, and overall visual environment.
• Maintain awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment and communicate with the team.
• Communicate performance observations and offer feedback to the District Leader.

• Minimum 1 year retail management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that require prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, or squatting; ability to climb ladders or stairs; ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs regularly without assistance.
