Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Asset Protection Supervisor to maintain workflow and count processes. Operate a forklift and work with the Inventory Control team to validate inventory counts, sort damaged/RTV merchandise, reduce salvage, obtain return authorizations, and re-wrap sellable merchandise. Collaborate across departments to complete related merchandise counts and inventory control responsibilities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Provide members with prompt and courteous service, maintaining safety, service, and sanitation standards.
  • Work quickly and accurately to facilitate organized processes; process damaged or defective merchandise per salvage, donation, vendor return, reverse logistics, hazardous waste, and destroy procedures.
  • Obtain return authorizations from vendors, process chargebacks, and package/ship merchandise returns per vendor return policies.
  • Co‑ordinate inventory counts with department teams per Home Office protocols and deadlines.
  • Follow count processes and procedures.
  • Maintain correct stock status for all damaged, defective, and returned merchandise.
  • Assess breakage logs, process freezer & dairy damages, and remove merchandise from inventory.
  • Administer community/donation programs and manage salvage/donation merchandise orders.
  • Conduct daily safety walks and report findings to the Asset Control Inventory Supervisor.
  • Support the Inventory Control Count Team in executing count processing.
  • Review daily return reports, process recalls, and handle tire and battery returns.
  • Track AFS and release dates.
  • Ensure books are stocked and returned per RICS coordination.
  • Process 945/948/950, partnering with the AP Specialist.
  • Re‑wrap sellable merchandise per packaging guidelines.
  • Maintain department organization and cleanliness; follow safety, filing, and lock‑up standards.
  • Complete training and safety re‑certifications to operate forklift.
  • Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
Qualifications
  • Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
Environmental Job Conditions
  • Work on hard surfaces; frequent bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and ladder use.
  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs; may lift heavier with assistance. Requires use of pallet jack.
  • Exposure to indoor/outdoor temperatures and occasional extreme temperatures in freezers/coolers.
  • Frequent exposure to hazardous material.
Pay Range

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position is $17.25 – $21.13 per hour. Actual salaries may vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
