vineyard vines is a highly successful, privately held, American clothing and accessory retailer founded in 1998 on Martha’s Vineyard.

The Field Visual Manager is responsible for building Visual Merchandising skills and capability at the Store Leadership and District Manager level to deliver a consistent, branded emotional experience across the division. This role will deliver a compelling customer experience in all stores and set the pace for Visual Merchandising execution.

• Build talent: develop DM and Store visual merchandising skills and capability by demonstrating effective floorset planning, zone mapping, cab‑by‑cab maps, product laydowns, styling laydowns across all business categories.
• Create individual development plans focusing on building Visual Merchandising skill while facilitating hands‑on training platforms including mapping, merchandising, styling, compositions, and sell‑through.
• Conduct effective store visits with store leadership, field leadership and cross‑functional home office partners.
• Develop, train, motivate, and inspire Field Leadership through learning labs and regular touch points.
• Build brand accountability with Store Leadership teams to use visual merchandising to maximize business results and elevate the customer experience.
• Identify new visual merchandising and styling ideas and create an inspiration library.
• Track success through quantitative and qualitative learning insights.
• Set high execution expectations across all aspects of visual merchandising.
• Share competitive insights and industry trend knowledge.
• Identify store‑specific opportunities to use visual merchandising levers to drive results.
• Partner with Directors to develop time‑sensitive action plans that improve business performance.
• Read and analyze business results, applying learning to assigned markets.
• Influence Field Leadership on floor set execution and brand tools.
• Coach on backroom standards and their impact on floor set, replenishment, and customer experience.

• Coverage of Specialty Retail and Wholesale.
• Expected travel of approximately 12–15 days per month, including learning labs, store visits, and openings.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, fashion merchandising, design, or related area preferred.
• 7+ years managing complex creative projects.
• Proven ability to create, interpret, and implement visual merchandising concepts.
• High level of influencing capability.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Experience leading, developing, motivating, and managing talent.
• Excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication.
• Computer skills: MS Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop.
