L.L.Bean King of Prussia Retail Store is currently seeking temporary, part‑time Floor Stockers to join the team.

Position

Purpose:

Receive, process, and stock merchandise; process returned merchandise based on assigned disposition; support other operations such as utility and customer carry‑outs on a regular basis.

Availability Requirements

This role primarily supports overnight floor sets, requiring availability one to two weeks per month. Shifts are typically weeknights, three to five overnights, up to eight hours per shift, between 4:00 PM and 3:00 AM. Additional availability may allow for more consistent scheduling in a Sales Representative role, though floor set support is the primary purpose of the position.

Responsibilities
  • Transfer racks & skids from truck into back‑stock receiving area.
  • Receive/scan cases using an RF device.
  • Open cases, sort merchandise into carts for stocking by department.
  • Prep product to floor‑ready standards (proper folding, stickers, packaging).
  • Replenish supplies throughout the store (catalogs, bags, gift boxes, shopping totes, hangers, flyers, etc.).
  • Retrieve returns, pick and ships, monogramming, and alterations.
  • Assist coordination of supplies, fixtures, and set up for campus events as needed.
  • Determine disposition for merchandise returns and rejects; retag and prep product for the sales floor.
  • Scan out and package second‑quality product to be sent to returns.
  • Determine disposition of third‑quality product for the Employee Store or to be defaced and destroyed.
  • Complete work and verify accuracy by reviewing online reports.
  • Change prices / re‑tag product as necessary using tagging guns.
  • Audit orders to be shipped to customers against paperwork for accuracy.
  • Check for correct product, adequate contact information, and completed Pro Serve services.
  • Box or bag pick and ships, complete online documentation, and stage for UPS pick up.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace, and assist with daily upkeep/recycling efforts.
  • Partner with leadership to adhere to organization and flow of designated work stations in the back of house to support inventory control/accuracy.
  • Know and follow all safety rules and procedures; report unsafe acts or conditions; demonstrate safe work practices (universal waste disposal, hazardous material returns handling).
  • Provide exceptional customer service using the GUIDE selling model.
  • Replenish/stock merchandise onto fixtures according to established merchandising standards as defined by the Visual Standards Handbook.
  • Retrieve additional stock/sizes from back‑stock areas to represent all sizes on the sales floor.
  • Organize and maintain back‑stock areas by keeping items grouped by Item  sized within proper locations.
  • Assist with store recovery efforts as needed.
  • Provide assistance with departmental floor sets per Home Office direction.
Education Level

High School or GED.

Experience

Some Experience Required.

  • Strong attention to detail; accuracy.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity for collaborative work in a retail environment; adept at serving customers and teams from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi‑task and/or change tasks frequently.
  • Comfortable with working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to meet units per hour production standard.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive, energetic spirit and team player.
