Job Summary

Buddy’s Home Furnishings is hiring a Manager in Training (MIT) / Management Trainee. The role is entry‑level and serves as a stepping stone to become a store manager. The MIT program requires cross‑training in all aspects of store management and operations, and is performed in‑person at the specified location. Candidates must be over 21 years old.

• Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

• Train to become proficient in all aspects of the business
• Acquire and maintain customers
• Drive store sales
• Manage customer accounts
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Perform in‑home delivery and setup
• Handle inventory management
• Account management and collection
• Retail sales and customer service
• Meet and exceed target sales and profit goals

• Must be over the age of 21 to drive a vehicle for work (insurance requirement)
• In‑person role; remote work not available
• High School Diploma or GED
• Effective organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to routinely lift, load, and move merchandise (50–300 pounds) using a dolly
• Ability to stoop, bend, pull, reach, and grab
• Ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics
• Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor climates and weather conditions
• Prolonged periods of driving and standing
