Purchasing Specialist - Power Equipment & Off Highway Vehicles

Overview

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the basic replenishment, re‑buying and managing of inventory. This position utilizes previous experience and judgment as a basis for planning and accomplishing goals in a variety of tasks. The Purchasing Specialist works under the general supervision of a Buyer. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

This position is located at the Home Office in Bozeman, MT with the ability to work Hybrid if living within a 40‑mile radius.

Full‑time

• Assist the Buyers in all areas of merchandise procurement.
• Enter and transmit Purchase Orders into the system.
• Monitor purchase orders to assure timely and satisfactory delivery.
• Contact suppliers to expedite delivery, when necessary.
• Resolve any receiving or invoice discrepancies that may arise.
• Utilize sufficient writing/verbal skills to clearly communicate issues.
• Build relationships and maintain contact with stores and vendors.
• Other responsibilities as called upon.

• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Possess strong computer skills, especially working knowledge of Excel.
• Have excellent oral and written skills.
• Possess a 4‑year degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent is preferred.
• Have a minimum of one year of previous related experience and/or training.
