Role SummaryIn collaboration with the Store Manager, the Department Manager takes an entrepreneurial approach to driving store sales and the overall store experience. Their goal is to deliver an environment that is engaging and inspiring to the customer while fostering continual team development, creating a culture of excellence, creativity, collaboration, innovation, and trust.
Role Responsibilities Brand Experience- Actsas a brand representative reflective of the company values; collaborates with store leadership on the creation of an engaging visual experience that appeals to the Reclecticcustomer
- Supports the Store Manager to elevate every aspect of the store experience throughoptimizing product flow,efficient store operations and visualmerchandisingtocreate a compellingatmosphere
- Cultivatesa welcoming and inclusive environment by being highly focused on delivering genuinecustomer experiences that are engaging, efficient, and personalized; interprets customer feedback and team insights to positively improvestoreinteractions
- Takesan active role in recruiting, hiring, andretaininga diverse and engaged team; takes responsibility fortheirown development and professional growth
- Providestimelyand specific employee feedback to create a culture of action and accountability;facilitatesa thorough and thoughtful onboarding for new hires,equitabledevelopment paths for all employees, and a focus on employee engagement
- Assessesstaff scheduling needs andassistsmanagingteam availability, requests off, and identifies employeeskill set to create an effective schedule that aligns with business requirements
- Collaborates with leadership team toassessproduct sell-throughandidentifystore successes and opportunities; effectively leads an empowered team to make strategic, creative, business-impactingdecisions
- Activelyholds team accountable toscheduling and timekeeping policy throughconsistentpayrollmanagement
- Increasesstore sales through a strong level of customer service,business and key metric analysis, andmaintainingstock levelstooptimizeproductflow
- Maintains a well-organized,cleanand presentable building and championstimelyescalation of facilities/maintenance issues/technologyissues
- Interprets Home Office direction to impact store’s structure, presentation, and overall productivity to drive store sales.
Provides feedback to Store Managerto continuously improve operations. - Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of thestore
- Promotesan inclusive environment byrepresentingand amplifying all voices, activelyseekingand advocating different perspectives
- Fostersa culture ofstrong communication and teamwork; stays current and follows through to ensure importantstoreinformation reaches all levels of theteam
- Passion for Reclectic brand and concept
- 3+ years store leadership experience
- Proven record of hiring and developing great talent
- Strong understanding of merchant process and ways it impacts the business
- Experience in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store, including nights, weekends, and holidays
