Overview

PART-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Retail & Community Engagement Manager who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. You will help support a dynamic team offering a menu from scratch baked bread and pastries to soups, salads, and sandwiches made with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities
  • A "can do" attitude — actively listen to guests and confidently suggest meal and gift items to first-time guests and returning regulars.
  • The ability to work quickly, learn from mistakes, and look for opportunities to assist other departments even before being asked.
  • Merchandising: greeting and welcoming guests, daily basket making, stocking shelves, personal shopping assistance, inventory, cleaning, organization, and assisting front of house operations; attend weekly management meetings.
  • Community Engagement: engage local schools in Knead Dough Fundraiser events, host Knead Dough community partnership fundraising events, and partner with marketing and the home office to host brand-wide events and classes as well as store events. Work closely with General Managers, District Leadership, Regional Leadership, and the home office team to ensure events are successful and that exceptional customer service is provided.

    Engage and facilitate partnerships with realtors and title companies to drive gift basket and catering sales.
Availability
  • Available to work Mon-Fri during peak lunch traffic hours;
    Saturdays as needed. Additional hours are required during November and December, including weekends and some extended hours. Available to work Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. Responsible for organizing and leading a team to support the execution of Holiday baskets and merchandise.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of customer service/retail experience.
  • Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards.
  • Flexible schedule; shifts vary from week to week depending on customer traffic and time of year. Shifts start as early as 7 am to 10 pm, Monday through Saturday.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
