The Manager in Training (MIT) works with the store manager and store teams to achieve sales goals, drive a customer‑focused environment, manage talent and performance, and execute visual standards. The MIT participates in a training program to prepare for a store manager position within 3–6 months and is hired with the expectation of relocating to a specific new store or a group of new and existing stores.

• Customer Obsession:
  Drive and achieve a customer‑focused store environment. Create and demonstrate fashion‑focused store environments by delivering product knowledge and fashion expertise to customers.
• Driving Sales:
  Manage sales goals by analyzing store performance using historical reports and adjusting plans and priorities as necessary. Manage the performance of the store team and payroll hours to sustain profitability.
• Talent Management:
  Make hiring decisions and nurture talent through strong networks. Develop successors and talent pools, provide feedback, and coach associates to reach their full potential.
• Operational Execution:
  Maintain an operationally sound store through audits, minimize inventory loss, enforce policies, and ensure execution of company direction in POS, visual, HR, and operations.

• High School Diploma or GED required; a business or retail merchandising degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience required in a customer‑focused environment; experience in the fashion industry preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving and setting goals and executing company direction.
• Experience in hiring, promoting, and motivating talent.
• Proven ability to lead by example, make sound decisions, and demonstrate professionalism.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
• Diligence and the ability to persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.
• Commitment to a specific store location or a group of new and existing stores.

• Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Ability to reach, push, pull, stand, squat, and bend for up to 8 hours or longer as necessary.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
• Ability to operate a computerized register system.
• Ability to move or handle merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
