• Create and implement sales strategies and tactics for the territory
• Plan and attend customer meetings, prioritizing opportunities and following through all stages of the sales cycle
• Increase sales by identifying customer needs and matching products to those needs
• Represent the employer at key industry events such as conferences and trade shows
• Provide detailed sales reports and maintain up-to-date customer and sales information via CRM systems

• College degree with significant field sales experience and a proven track record of meeting sales targets
• Customer-centric attitude with a consultative approach to selling
• Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with key stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time within the territory

• Field sales experience within the academic library market
• Experience negotiating large contracts
• Good understanding of the academic environment
