Sales Representative – Eaton

Eaton’s Fire and Life Safety Division is seeking a Sales Representative to support Fire Safety and Life Safety products. This role can be based from a home office in Florida or Georgia, covering FL, GA, and AL, and requires more than 50% travel.

The expected annual salary range is $90,000–$132,000, plus a variable incentive program. Salary is based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.

• Implement short, medium, and long‑term plans to promote Eaton’s Life Safety products and aggressively grow sales in the region.
• Manage and track the business opportunity pipeline, targeting government/defense, transportation, petrochemical, higher education, and miscellaneous sectors.
• Use a consultative style to evaluate prospective customers’ existing fire systems, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate Eaton product lines.
• Develop solution strategies to sell comprehensive fire notification solutions to decision makers, consultants, contractors, architects, engineers, and code officials.
• Collaborate with national accounts, security distribution, engineering systems dealers, and integrators to meet sales targets.
• Build new relationships that drive growth in targeted areas.
• Coordinate the distributor and integrator network already established.
• Support additional business development initiatives as needed.
• Participate actively in industry organizations, representing Eaton at national and higher levels.
• Promote Eaton’s mission and values by supporting ethics, quality policies, and corporate vision.

• High school diploma from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Fire and Life Safety systems products and/or services.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must currently reside within Florida or Georgia; relocation is not offered (Active Duty Military Service members are exempt).

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 5 years’ experience in Fire and Life Safety systems, focused on commercial, institutional, and/or industrial markets.
• 3 years of outside sales experience.

• Proven track record of building lasting relationships with distributors, end users, inter‑company leaders, and sales teams.
• Strong project and program management skills with attention to detail.
• Customer‑service orientation and sales performance excellence.
• Self‑motivation and the ability to outperform expectations with minimal daily supervision.
• In‑depth industry knowledge of codes and standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
