Sr. Account Executive - tax/trade - MD/VA/DE/WV
Join Thomson Reuters as a Senior Account Executive focusing on tax/trade solutions for corporate customers across the MD/VA/DE/WV region. This remote role requires you to live within or near the target territory.
About the Role- Prospecting:
Actively seek new business opportunities with both existing and new customers to build a strong sales pipeline, aiming for 3‑4× coverage of monthly and quarterly targets. - Account Management:
Manage a list of major accounts (companies with revenues of $500M+). Lead the entire sales process from initial contact, through account planning, deal closing, to renewal. - Revenue Goals:
Meet or exceed revenue targets set for the role. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to tailor solutions to customer needs. - Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders, demonstrating how our solutions address their challenges. - Salesforce Maintenance:
Regularly update Salesforce to ensure accurate records and reliable forecasts, and engage in client meetings both in person and via platforms like MS Teams.
- Proven ability to sell complex software solutions to large enterprises (revenues of $500M+), using a consultative, value‑based approach.
- Self‑starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and embraces a growth mindset.
- Experience selling to C‑level executives with a solution‑selling methodology, identifying business challenges and their impact.
- Skilled at leading detailed sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to the company’s mission, with a deep understanding of AI and its applications in legal and tax operations.
- Enthusiastic about prospecting and capable of managing the full sales cycle independently.
- Collaborative, working well with teams across marketing, product, and legal.
- Eager to refine sales strategies, enhance team culture, and develop sales tools to boost success.
- College degree preferred; minimum 5 years of direct field sales experience, preferably in the corporate sector, with a record of exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to develop and execute account plans.
- Willingness to work from home and travel 25‑50% of the time to customer locations.

Compensation for this role ranges from $178,500 to $331,500 USD, based on candidate qualifications and market conditions.
