What to Expect

(Job Responsibilities)

  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals with state and local government customers
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with senior-level sales professionals
  • Understand customer strategies and align them with necessary capabilities and skills
  • Educate customers on the value of the employer's offerings and develop success criteria
  • Create and implement strategic plans for business growth and new opportunities
What is Required

(Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree
  • Experience in selling within a SaaS organization, particularly with multi-year contracts
  • Willingness to travel to specific states for customer meetings
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proven expertise in managing a sales pipeline and closing contracts at the state agency level
How to Stand Out
  • Familiarity with solution-selling methodologies such as Value Selling and the Challenger Sale
  • Experience in business development and heavy prospecting
  • Proven track record of developing mutual buying plans and forecasting business
