About the RoleWe are seeking an Outside Sales Associate – Lighting to support and grow relationships with a portfolio of lighting representatives and lighting designers across the United States. This role is ideal for a driven, energetic professional with a strong background in architecture and performance lighting who thrives in a field-based, relationship-driven sales environment. The position is remote, with frequent nationwide travel and regular coordination with our Atlanta office.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support assigned lighting representatives and lighting designers across multiple US regions
- Travel nationwide (approximately 2 weeks per month) to conduct in-person meetings, trainings, and project follow-ups
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lighting designers, specifiers, architects, and rep agencies
- Promote and present lighting solutions to support specification and project win rates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, pipelines, and opportunity tracking
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (sales support, engineering, logistics) to ensure smooth project execution
- Represent the company professionally at industry meetings, showroom visits, and events
- Educational background in Lighting Design, Lighting Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in one or more of the following:
- Lighting manufacturer
- Strong understanding of architectural and commercial lighting products, applications, and specification processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, territories, and ongoing projects simultaneously
- Highly energetic, self-motivated, and performance-oriented (“go-getter” mindset)
- Excellent organizational, reporting, and follow-up skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, travel-heavy role
- Proficient with CRM systems, sales pipelines, and reporting tools
- Candidate may be based anywhere in the United States
- Must have easy access to a major airport
- Willing and able to travel nationally up to two weeks per month
- Ability to visit the Atlanta office at least twice per month
