Territory Sales Representative – Blue Ridge Territory

Outside Sales | Construction Equipment & Rentals
Roanoke, VA & Surrounding Area (Field-Based Role)

Hawkins-Graves is hiring an experienced Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow our Blue Ridge Territory
, covering Roanoke and the surrounding one-hour radius
, including the City of Roanoke, City of Salem, Roanoke County, Botetourt County, and Franklin County
.

This is a full-time, field-based outside sales role focused on construction equipment sales, equipment rentals, attachments, and related services
. This position requires daily in-person customer and job-site visits and is best suited for a disciplined, self-directed sales professional with construction industry experience.

If you are seeking inside sales, remote work, or an entry-level sales role, this position will not be a fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined geographic sales territory
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, industrial, and municipal customers
• Prospect, qualify, and close equipment and rental opportunities
• Conduct regular job-site and office visits throughout the territory
• Manage sales pipeline, forecasting, and activity in CRM
• Prepare and present professional quotes and proposals
• Coordinate closely with Rental, Service, Parts, and Sales Support teams
• Represent Hawkins-Graves professionally on active construction sites

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• 3+ years of B2B outside (field-based) sales experience
• Experience selling into the construction, equipment, rental, or industrial market strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage a geographic territory independently
• Comfortable working full-time in the field with daily travel
• Strong organization, follow-up, and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Applicants without outside sales experience in a construction-related industry will not be considered.
