The estimated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $125,000 per year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location).

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI) has a job opportunity to join the Michigan sales team as an Architectural & Design Sales Manager. Reporting to the Regional Specification Manager, the Architectural & Design Sales Manager interacts with architects, designers, consultants, owners, distribution, contractors, and facility managers to influence the specification of Armstrong Commercial Ceiling, Wall and Specialty Systems. Working together with other members of the sales team, this role is responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget regarding price, volume, and mix to drive improved business results.

- Assisting architects and designers in writing specifications for Armstrong Commercial Ceilings, Suspension Systems, Architectural Specialties, and wall systems.
- Interacting with architects, distributors, contractors, and facility managers to influence the specification and purchases of Armstrong Commercial Ceilings and Wall solutions.
- Tracking projects in with the Armstrong team members to establish plans for selling Armstrong products and solutions.
- Growing the business and increasing market share by creating customer value and competitive advantage.
- Learning and continuously improving through individual and team learning and development initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
- Ability and experience to plan effectively, both short and long term.
- Knowledge of specification sales, market segments, customers, contracting, and distribution channels.
- Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications.
- Strong presentation skills
- Bachelor s Degree in Business, Construction Science or a related field and/or experience to commensurate.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 5+ years of architectural sales experience.
