What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with key state Department of Education officials
  • Drive the full sales cycle for state-level opportunities, including planning, presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan aligned with strategic goals and state-specific needs
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to align internal deliverables with customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and provide market feedback and forecasts
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in Education, Policy, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in state-level education agencies, sales, policy, or leadership roles
  • Deep comprehension of state education policy, funding mechanisms, and government operations
  • Demonstrated success in navigating complex sales cycles and securing education-related contracts at the state level
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience presenting at state and national conferences and partner events
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
  • Familiarity with research-based literacy solutions
