This is a remote position with territory/field-based travel. The territory is the Greater Jersey City area.
Job SummaryOur client is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager for their growing territory in Jersey City, NJ. This field-based role focuses on hunting for new business, selling into healthcare facilities for rehab and physical therapy, corporate wellness centers within major companies, and elite athletic training programs at the collegiate and national level. The Sales Account Manager (Field Sales) will be responsible for the full sales cycle from prospect to close, building a new territory from the ground up, and calling on targeting decision‑makers.
The role offers variety with a key focus on new business development and account management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and manage a large portfolio of products, services, and solutions.
- Ensure that local sales, profitability, and cash flow targets are achieved.
- Develop business opportunities and exploit market potential.
- Generate leads, profile customers, plan activities, and update the CRM.
- Increase customer satisfaction.
- Guarantee adequate market feedback on segment trends.
- Maintain and develop existing relationships and seek new opportunities.
- Manage the market and carry out an appropriate number of customer/prospect visits inline with company sales code.
- At least 3 years’ sales experience as a Sales Account Manager or in a similar role.
- Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field.
- Experience in managing complex deals and selling solutions.
- Excellent consulting sales approach and negotiation skills.
- Solid experience with CRM software.
- Knowledge of Salesforce would be a plus.
- Result‑driven approach.
- Excellent listening, communication, and presentation abilities.
- A pass.
Our client offers a competitive $80k base salary + uncapped commissions/bonus. Income expectations with commissions are ~$160k+ in the first year, competitive health benefits, 401k, mileage reimbursement, travel/expense allowance, etc.
